At approx 20:45 Co 67 along with the 6701 residential box alarm were dispatched for a possible structure fire, fire in the oven. Chief 67 arrived on scene and assumed command reporting a trailer type structure with nothing showing from the exterior.
A women and her baby were standing outside waiting. She told the chief what happened and then she was escorted to his vehicle to sit and keep warm.
Upon the initial investigation there was no smoke condition in the house, once we proceeded in further we found that the fire was contained to the oven and self extinguished.
67 command advised the communications center to hold all mutual aid companies at their station and just send in engine 67-5 to check out with the thermal imaging camera.
67-5 engine 5 arrived on scene with a crew of 6, under the direction of Deputy Chief 67. Deputy 67 (Elias) and Fire fighter Jim Gisinger checked the house out with the camera and found nothing.
They were advised to have the oven checked before using again.
67 Command placed all units back in service.
thanks to all mutual aid companies.
